Dear LM-37 translation students,
as part of the week of mobilization for Palestine from 3 to 10 April, there will be a general strike in Italy on Tuesday 9 April starting at 12 noon.
You have probably seen the news in the media and the social networks of the ongoing mobilizations in the universities in Italy and the rest of the world calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Palestine with an end to the genocidal destruction in Gaza and the terrible repression on the West Bank.
As a signer of the “Lettera al Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale per la sospensione dell’Accordo di Cooperazione Industriale, Scientifica e Tecnologica tra Italia e Israele per rischio di dual use e violazione del diritto internazionale e umanitario”, I will be participating in the strike and so will not be teaching my LM-37 lesson on Tuesday 9 April from 1 to 3. I will make up the lesson with the back-translation from Ann Rice’s Interview with the Vampire on Tuesday 30 April 1-3 pm in aula 005 VSR.
