Welcome to the Moodle page for my Reading and Writing course which takes place on Wednesdays from 17-19 in Santa Verdiana, Piazza Ghiberti.
My office hours are on Wednesdays, 12.30 - 14.30. Please write to stephania.portoghese@unifi.it to make an appointment.
This course will build on the reading and writing skills that you studied and practiced in your first year Texts course. This year the texts will be academically oriented and we will be concentrating on reading strategies and formal written style. The first semester will focus on summary writing, referencing and academic discourse patterns and in second semester we will move on to writing an academic paper.
